Saba Homes Daily Lungar Program - (Feeding The Needy)

According to the UN, 821 million people are undernourished, this is equal to every 9th person on earth facing hunger and every 3rd person affected by malnutrition.

Pakistan has experienced a steady rise in destabilizing socio-political, economic, and environmental forces over the past decade that have torn at the very fabric of this fragile nation. Behind these seismic geopolitical forces lies a backdrop of chronic and acute undernutrition, widespread food insecurity, and recurring natural disasters that routinely displace millions of people, destroy homes and vital infrastructure, and disrupt countless lives and livelihoods.

To combat hunger, starvation and malnutrition caused by inflation and unemployment Saba Homes/Saba Trust in Rawalpindi, Pakistan has launched its Daily Lungar Program to help feed and assist 300 – 400 needy persons on daily basis from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM. Our Daily lunger Programs is the community kitchen in which hot meals are served free of cost to the most vulnerable people of the society regardless of their religion, status, caste and gender. With your support and generosity, we can continue to feed the needy for as little as Rs 500 per person per day. You can donate any amount and be part of this noble cause.

Importance of feeding the Poor and Needy in Islam: The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ’Allah, Mighty and Sublime be He, will say on the Day of Resurrection […] “O son of Adam, I asked you for food and you did not feed Me“. He will say, “O Lord, how can I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds?” He (Allah) will say, “Did you not know that My servant so-and-so asked you for food and you did not feed him? Did you not know that had you fed him you surely would have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me?“′ [Muslim]
